Vacation Care

Sunbeams operates in vacation care during school holidays year-round, except for a two week closure over the Christmas period and public holidays. Throughout the year Sunbeams engages in a large variety of activities that involve visiting exciting local centres for Sunbeams to explore on excursions and shows, tutorials and active fun days that occur on incursions. During vacation care, Sunbeams provides all meals from Breakfast to Afternoon tea whilst children are at the service. Sunbeams values safety at all time and during the holidays provide Sunbeams Hats and Shirts to wear on excursions, so children remain visible to educators throughout a day. 

What to pack for a Vacation Care Day?

Your child will need to bring a backpack for excursions. In their backpack they require a refillable drink bottle and a change of clothes. Children need to be in enclosed shoes during the day. If your child requires their own individual sunscreen that is not Surf Life Saving Australia branded, then they are also required to bring their own. Please ensure children are in appropriate clothing that is SunSmart with sleeves and are appropriate for active activities.

Educators reserve the right to restrict activities if your child is not prepared for the Vacation care day with adequate and appropriate attire and shoes.

General Information

- All vacation care day are booked on OWNA. There is an early bird fee that closes 14 days prior to the vacation day. 

- Booked days are non-refundable, Sunbeams purchases tickets for all activities prior to the day. If there is a booking mistake, an email needs to be immediately sent to info@soosh.com.au.

- All risk assessments can be found on the OWNA app. It is attached to the booking.
